Ben Strober is a faculty member in the Computational Health Informatics Program and the Department of Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital; he is also a member of the faculty at Harvard Medical School. Before starting his lab in 2025, Ben earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 2021, where he worked with Alexis Battle on modeling the genetic regulation of gene expression. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health with Alkes Price from 2021 to 2025, developing statistical methods to uncover the biological mechanisms underlying disease-associated genetic loci. Outside of work, Ben loves outdoor activities; he is avid rock climber and ex-ski racer. He has a cat named Margo, and his wife, Steph, is a pulmonary and critical care fellow at MGH.
